Recently, I photographed a group of 7th-grade basketball players. As a mother, I’m always impressed when I encounter good kids. This group did not disappoint. Each young man was kind and respectful, which I think is invaluable. The world we live in is messy, complicated, and sometimes ugly, but spending time when these young men made me sure of two things:
1- There is still lots of good in the world. In a world where you can be anything, being kind and respectful succeeds all.
2- Parenting is a slow, long marathon. It’s clear these boys have invested parents, helping guide and mold them into strong, kind, and respectful young men.
I had such a great time taking pictures of this great group. Way to go Bearcats!
